“Youth and Children are the hope and the next generation for the family, the nation, and the church. They are one of the main parts of both the church and the nation. The presence of youth and children in the church is something that needs to be well appreciated.”

Youth Ministry

Young people are God's precious and special creation and are even the pillars of the church today and in the future. The Salvation Army Youth Ministry continues to grow and develop. Even today, the Salvation Army has 17,382 young people in the Indonesian Territory. The ministry or worship of young people in the Salvation Army, namely:

  • Junior Light Bearer Movement 
  • Senior Light Bearer Movement 
Salvation Army Youth Ministry Vision: 
“To be a light through a consecrated life and manifest the love of Christ to all people” 
Salvation Army Youth Ministry Mission: 
  • Produce youth leaders who are rooted and mature in Christ to be role models for their generation.
  • Produce creative and innovative youth service units to meet the challenges of the times. 
  • Generate policies that impact the effectiveness of youth ministry for cross-border missions. 
  • Produce youth ministries that are integrated across Divisions/Regions in the Indonesian Territory to have the spirit of One Army. 

Children's Services

The Salvation Army loves children and sees them as individuals to be cared for as this is an important message that the Lord Jesus gave and has become the foundation of the Salvation Army Children's Ministry. The Salvation Army currently has 20,431 Sunday School children and 6,427 Young Soldiers in the Indonesian Territory. The ministries that reach out to children in the Corps/PL are:

  • Sunday School 
  • Young Soldier
Vision of Salvation Army Children's Ministry: 
“Salvation Army children receive and recognize Jesus Christ as Savior and become Witnesses of Christ in cross-border ministry” 
Salvation Army Children's Ministry Mission: 
  1. Produce quality children's servants in service. 
  2. Produce policies governing Salvation Army Children's Services. 
  3. Produce Salvation Army children who have a personal relationship with God, love to worship and do age-appropriate mission service. 
  4. Produce a congregation that loves and cares for children's ministry.
